When Colin isn’t onstage performing\, he is busy teaching guitar\, bass and saxophone in the Kelowna area. \nSusan Ruuska’s voice was discovered by a local Kelowna resident who just happened to have a band\, and encouraged her to pursue singing. Together with Denise’s husband\, Jamie\, Anarchist Mountain’s Deputy Fire Chief\, our bass player and vocalist\, we created Double Stop Creek. Our love of music brought us together and helped us persevere through tragic personal loss when Jamie passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on New Year’s day of 2019. \n  \nMaking the decision to “play on” and to continue on our musical path has been a balm to the heart and ‘soule’.
