2022 Vintage Select Malbec

WINE TASTING NOTES

The 2022 Vintage Select Malbec reveals a vibrant, light purple hue with inviting aromas of violet, red fruit, mint and sage. The palate is bright and juicy, bursting with raspberries and cherry, while a lift of fresh acidity brings energy and balance.

This Malbec pairs beautifully with grilled steak, wild game, and stuffed vegetables complimenting bold flavours with its lively character.

WINEMAKER NOTES

The 2022 growing season featured a cold, wet spring and a late budburst. These conditions, combined with hot days and cooler nights, were optimal for achieving an ideal acidity balance in the grapes. Warm and dry weather prevailed through the summer and early fall, which was perfect for the development of berry color, flavor, and tannin levels. These favourable conditions also led to a higher-than-average number of berries and increased berry weight.

VINEYARD NOTES

The fruit for our Vintage Select Malbec was sourced from our Ryegrass Vineyard located on the south slope of our Phantom Creek Vineyard.
