TASTING NOTES
A vibrant blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Pinot Noir, Coeur d'Été is crafted through two weeks of semi-carbonic maceration of whole clusters, wild fermentation and two months of lees aging. It opens with expressive aromas of blueberry, black currant, and black cherry, complemented by subtle herbal notes. The palate is juicy and refined, offering bright acidity, soft tannins, and a fresh, fruit-driven finish that captures the spirit of summer.
Best enjoyed slightly chilled, Coeur d'Été is made for effortless entertaining and is ideal for drinking over the next two years. Its vibrant fruit profile and refreshing character pair beautifully with lamb skewers, BBQ ribs, vegetable flatbread, grilled vegetables, and other summer-inspired dishes.
WINEMAKER NOTES
The 2025 vintage marks a confident return following the devastating 2024 winter freeze, with vineyards showing remarkable resilience. The vines responded well to restored balance and nutrient reserves, transferring that energy into the 2025 crop. This contributed to healthy growth, strong fruit set, and a significant rebound in yields.
The growing season began with early budbreak and a moist spring which progressed into a warm, stable summer. Some hot days were experienced in June, particularly across vineyards on the Black Sage Bench, though overall conditions remained well balanced. Warm weather continued through September, leading to an earlier-than-usual harvest beginning in late August to preserve freshness and natural acidity. Flavor development was strong from early in the season, while cool nights helped retain freshness and acidity.
