TASTING NOTES
Our inaugural Pinot Noir is crafted through wild fermentation with 40% whole-cluster, revealing lifted aromas of cranberry, red currant, and Rainier cherry, complemented by delicate notes of cinnamon and star anise. The palate is vibrant and elegantly structured, with bright acidity, silky tannins, and a long, graceful finish that showcases both freshness and purity. Best served slightly chilled.
The bright fruit character and lively acidity make it a perfect companion to charcuterie boards, BBQ skewers, roasted poultry, duck breast, mushroom risotto, and a variety of savoury dishes. Only 330 cases produced, making this a truly limited expression of the vintage.
WINEMAKER NOTES
The 2025 vintage marks a confident return following the devastating 2024 winter freeze, with vineyards showing remarkable resilience. The vines responded well to restored balance and nutrient reserves, transferring that energy into the 2025 crop. This contributed to healthy growth, strong fruit set, and a significant rebound in yields.
The growing season began with early budbreak and a moist spring which progressed into a warm, stable summer. Some hot days were experienced in June, particularly across vineyards on the Black Sage Bench, though overall conditions remained well balanced. Warm weather continued through September, leading to an earlier-than-usual harvest beginning in late August to preserve freshness and natural acidity. Flavor development was strong from early in the season, while cool nights helped retain freshness and acidity.
