In September 13th, in Vancouver, we had the privilege of attending ‘Ignite the Night — The Mayor’s Party’, the inaugural gala in support of the Vancouver Firefighter Charities (VFC). It was both heartwarming and inspiring, and I would like to share some reflections from the evening.
The purpose of Ignite the Night was to support the Vancouver Firefighter Charities. Beyond fighting fires, they play a vital role in the community through programs like:
Snacks for Kids: providing food for children
Sports for Kids, Toys for Kids: supporting play and sports
Lifelines for Seniors: providing care for seniors
The setting was elegant: tents, lighting, music blended with the natural garden. Guests wore Creative Cocktail attire, bold in colour and creative in accessories.
At this grand celebration with more than 500 distinguished guests, Phantom Creek Estates proudly served as the exclusive wine supplier, providing premium wines for all attendees. The goal was to raise CA$1.5 million. A special Fire in Your Kitchen Auction offered donors the chance to win a unique dining experience alongside firefighters.
